Candidate privacy notice

This explains what Symufolk does with the details you send when you apply for a role on this site.

What we collect

What you type into the application form and the CV you attach: your name, email address, mobile number, city, experience, and anything else you choose to add. We do not ask for your CNIC, date of birth, photo, or anything about pay on this form.

Why we collect it

Only to assess you for the role you applied for, and to contact you about it. If you tick the box asking us to keep your details, we may also contact you about other roles.

How your CV is read

When you add your CV to the form, our system reads it straight away to fill in the form for you. You can change anything it fills in, and nothing is kept until you send your application.

After you apply, the system compares the skills in your CV with the skills the job asks for and shows our HR team a keyword match. It never rejects anyone: a person reads every application and makes every decision. It does not use your name, age, gender, photo, city or where you studied, and it leaves out any text in your CV that a reader could not see.

Who sees it

Our HR team and the people involved in hiring for the role. It is kept in our HR system and is never sold or shared with anyone outside Symufolk.

How long we keep it

While we are considering your application. If it is unsuccessful, your details and CV are deleted within twelve months of that decision, unless our HR team keeps your CV in our CV library to consider you for future roles. It then stays there until we remove it or you ask us to delete it, as below. If you join us, your application becomes part of your employee record.

Having your details deleted

Write to careers@symufolk.com at any time and we will delete your application and CV.
